Samsung Galaxy S24 series, rumoured for a January 17, 2024 launch, has made its presence felt on the FCC website.
This upcoming lineup is expected to feature the trio Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra.
Now that the Galaxy S24 FCC listing has been revealed the launch of these new models is closer than ever.
FCC sightings usually do not shed much light on a device’s specs and the same is the case here.
The listing, first spotted by MySmartPrice, has revealed connectivity features wherein both the Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra are expected to support 5G, NFC, and UWB.
Additionally, the Galaxy S24+ model, with the model number SM-S926U, is also shown to potentially support 25W wired charging.
We have had some recent leaks regarding the devices, including those from tipster Ice Universe, who has suggested varied RAM options for the Galaxy S24 models.
While the Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra are expected in both 8GB and 12GB RAM variants, the base Galaxy S24 model is likely to be offered only with 8GB of RAM.
Notably, a 16GB RAM option seems to be off the table for the Galaxy S24 series.
Also the Galaxy S24 Ultra was spotted on Geekbench, sporting a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC with configurations of 12GB + 256GB and 8GB + 128GB.
However, a Korean variant of the Galaxy S24 appeared on Geekbench with an Exynos 2400 SoC paired with 8GB of RAM, further fuelling speculations about the hardware choices for the Galaxy S24 series.
Apart from this, other rumours suggest that the Galaxy S24 will boast a 6.2-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
Its rear camera setup will include a 50MP primary camera using Samsung’s GN3 sensor, complemented by a 10MP telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom and a 12MP ultra-wide camera.
A 12MP front-facing camera is expected and the device is likely to be equipped with a 4000mAh battery supporting 25W fast charging.
Meanwhile, the larger Galaxy S24+, with a 6.7-inch AMOLED display, is rumoured to share the same chipset and camera specifications as the standard model, but with a beefier 4900mAh battery compatible with 45W fast charging.
