Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy M17 5G in India, introducing several upgrades over its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy M16 5G. The latest addition to the Galaxy M series is powered by the company’s in-house 5nm Exynos processor and comes with AI-powered tools like Circle to Search built right in.

The Samsung Galaxy M17 5G is priced at an MRP of Rs 16,499 for the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. However, buyers can get it for an effective price of Rs 12,499 after applying a coupon discount on Amazon.
The smartphone will be available in two colour options, which are Moonlight Silver and Sapphire Black. As for store availability, it will go on sale in India starting October 13 via Amazon.
The Galaxy M17 5G features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with Full-HD+ resolution (1,080 x 2,340 pixels) and a 90Hz refresh rate for smooth visuals. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, offering enhanced durability against scratches and drops.
Under the hood, the device is powered by Samsung’s 5nm Exynos 1330 chipset, paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It also comes with built-in support for AI-based features, including the popular Circle to Search tool for smarter navigation and contextual searches.
In terms of cameras, the Galaxy M17 5G sports a triple rear camera setup. It includes a 50MP primary sensor with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), a 5MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro sensor for close-up shots. On the front, the device houses a 13MP selfie camera for selfies and video calls.
The smartphone packs a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support, though it’s worth noting that Samsung will not include a charger in the box. The phone has a 7.5mm slim design and comes with an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance.
On the software side, the Galaxy M17 5G runs Android 15-based One UI 7 out of the box. Samsung has also committed to six years of software and security updates, ensuring long-term support for users.
