Samsung seems ready to refresh its budget TWS lineup with the new Galaxy Buds Core. As per reports, this will most likely replace the Galaxy Buds FE that launched in 2023 for around $100. Leaked info hints at a major upgrade, especially in battery capacity. Here’s what we know.
According to a leak from @TheGalox_ on X (formerly Twitter), each Buds Core earbud will pack a 100mAh battery, while the charging case will come with a 500mAh battery.

If true, that will be a 66% jump in earbud battery capacity compared to the Buds FE’s 60mAh, and a slight increase over the 479mAh case on the FE.
This could mean significantly longer battery life. The Buds FE already offers 6 hours of playback with ANC on and 21 hours with the case. With bigger batteries and possibly a newer chipset, the Buds Core might even beat that and could get close to what the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro offers with its 515mAh case and 48mAh buds.
There’s also talk that the Buds Core might feature a stem-style design similar to the upcoming Buds 3 lineup. Along with this, you can expect upgrades like better Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and improved Ambient Mode.
The Galaxy Buds Core (model SM-R410) has already appeared on Samsung’s support pages and received certifications like BIS and Nemko, pointing to an upcoming launch, possibly at the Galaxy Unpacked event in July 2025.
With BIS certification confirming an India launch, a global release also seems likely. If the leaked battery specs and design updates are accurate, the Galaxy Buds Core might shape up to be a strong budget option for Galaxy users. More leaks and official images are expected soon as the launch approaches.
