Samsung is empowering its Galaxy users to bridge the language divide with a major update that significantly expands the translation capabilities of its Galaxy AI assistant.
From Arabic to Russian, several new languages are joining the multilingual party.
When Galaxy AI first debuted in January alongside the S24 series, it supported an impressive 13 languages right out of the gate.
However, Samsung recognized the need to make its AI helper more accessible on a global scale.
With this update, Galaxy AI will gain the ability to translate Arabic, Indonesian and Russian – taking the total supported language count to 16.
Regional dialects like Cantonese, Canadian French, and Australian English are also being added to the mix.
Samsung hasn’t stopped there either.
By year’s end, Romanian, Turkish, Dutch and Swedish will further bolster Galaxy AI’s linguistic arsenal.
This ever-expanding repertoire empowers users worldwide to effortlessly communicate across cultures.
At the heart of this language expansion are Galaxy AI’s standout translation tools– Live Translate and Interpreter mode.
The former can take speech inputs from two different languages and provide real-time translated audio so both parties understand each other seamlessly.
Interpreter mode goes a step further by rendering full conversations into written text in a split-screen view.
It’s akin to having a personal multilingual assistant at your fingertips.
Other enhanced capabilities include improved handwriting recognition across more languages within the Notes app.
Summarizing websites or documents into concise bullet points just got easier too with Browser Assist.
Samsung’s latest update to Galaxy AI includes the addition of Arabic, Indonesian, and Russian, expanding its linguistic capabilities significantly.
This update also introduces regional dialects such as Cantonese, Canadian French, and Australian English, demonstrating Samsung’s commitment to enhancing global communication.
By incorporating a more diverse set of languages and dialects, Galaxy AI becomes increasingly accessible to a wider audience.
Users across different regions can now leverage the AI’s translation tools in their native language or dialect, making it a more valuable tool for international communication and travel.
Galaxy AI boasts two key translation features: Live Translate and Interpreter mode. Live Translate allows for real-time audio translation between two languages, while Interpreter mode provides written translations in a split-screen view for full conversations.
These tools make it easier than ever to bridge language barriers.
Alongside the expanded language support, the update enhances Galaxy AI’s functionality with improved handwriting recognition in the Notes app and the Browser Assist feature, which can summarize websites or documents into bullet points.
These advancements underscore Samsung’s focus on creating a versatile, user-friendly AI assistant.
