Samsung has announced the US release date for the Galaxy A16 5G following its October debut. The phone will be available on Samsung.com, at select national retailers and through carriers starting January 9. Apart from this, the Korean manufacturer will also be launching a fitness tracker the Galaxy Fit3 in the US market on the same day.

The Galaxy A16 5G is priced at $199.99 and comes in Blue Black and Light Gray colour options.
The phone is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 1330 SoC and boasts a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080×2340, a 90 Hz refresh rate and 800-nit peak brightness.
For photography enthusiasts, the phone features a 50 MP main camera, a 5 MP ultrawide lens, a 2 MP macro camera, and a 13 MP front-facing camera. Its 5,000 mAh battery supports 25W wired charging.
Running on Android 14 with One UI 6.1, Samsung has committed to six major Android updates, ensuring support through Android 20, along with six years of security updates, a key advantage over competitors.
Samsung is also launching a fitness tracker the Galaxy Fit3 priced at $59.99. It will be available on the same day January 9 in Gray, Silver and Pink Gold colour options.
