Redmi Note 17 Specifications Tipped

According to the leak, the standard Redmi Note 17 will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset. It is expected to feature a 7-inch Samsung E4 Pro display with 1080p resolution and peak brightness ranging between 1,200 nits and 1,800 nits.

The smartphone is also tipped to pack an 8,000mAh battery with support for 45W wired fast charging. It is further expected to support 22.5W wired reverse charging allowing users to charge compatible accessories or other devices.

For photography, the Redmi Note 17 is said to include a 50MP primary rear camera, while biometric authentication will reportedly be handled by a short-focus optical in-display fingerprint scanner. The handset is also expected to feature an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance and use a plastic frame.

Redmi Note 17 Pro Leak Reveals Key Specs

The Redmi Note 17 Pro is expected to bring several upgrades over the standard model. As per the leak, the smartphone will be equipped with the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor and feature a 6.83-inch flat display with 1.5K resolution. The panel is tipped to deliver up to 3,500 nits of peak brightness, positioning it as a flagship-grade display.

Battery capacity is also expected to increase on the Pro model. The handset is tipped to house a 9,000mAh battery with 67W wired fast charging, while retaining 22.5W wired reverse charging support.

Like the standard model, the Redmi Note 17 Pro is expected to feature a 50MP main camera and a short-focus optical in-display fingerprint scanner. However, durability appears to be a major area of improvement, with the Pro variant reportedly carrying IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance. Despite these upgrades, the device is still expected to use a plastic frame.

Notably, the leaked specifications closely align with Xiaomi’s official teasers. Company has already confirmed the 9,000mAh battery, 67W charging, and 3,500-nit display for the Redmi Note 17 Pro.

Redmi Note 17 5G India Variant Details Leak

Alongside the Chinese models, new information regarding the Indian variant of the Redmi Note 17 5G has also surfaced. According to tipster Abhishek Yadav on X, the smartphone will initially launch in India in a 6GB RAM + 128GB storage configuration.

The report adds that Xiaomi may introduce additional RAM and storage variants closer to the official India launch, giving buyers more options at a later stage.

In terms of colours, the Redmi Note 17 5G is tipped to arrive in Blue and Dark Night colour options for the Indian market.

The latest leaks come shortly after Xiaomi confirmed the launch date, design, and battery details of the Redmi Note 17 series for China. The company has skipped the Redmi Note 16 branding altogether, moving directly from the Redmi Note 15 series to the Redmi Note 17 lineup.

Official teasers have already revealed the design of both the Redmi Note 17 and Redmi Note 17 Pro. Unlike the Redmi Note 15 series, which featured a centrally positioned camera module, the upcoming smartphones adopt a new rectangular camera module placed at the top-left corner of the rear panel.

With the official launch just days away, Xiaomi is expected to reveal the complete specifications, pricing, and availability details of the Redmi Note 17 series on July 14.
