Xiaomi appears to be preparing for multiple smartphone launches as new certification listings have revealed details about upcoming Redmi devices. According to a recent report by Xpertpick, two unreleased Redmi smartphones have surfaced on certification platforms. These are believed to be the Redmi Note 17 series on the EEC database and the Redmi K90 Ultra on China’s 3C certification site. Here are more details.
According to the report, the EEC listing includes a device carrying the model number 26073RA49G. It is linked to a Redmi-branded smartphone. While the certification does not explicitly confirm the official name, the model number pattern strongly hints that this device could belong to the upcoming Redmi Note 17 lineup.
No hardware specifications have been disclosed in the listing but its appearance on EEC suggests that a global launch may not be far away.
Separately, another Xiaomi smartphone with the model number 2604FRK1EC has been spotted on China’s 3C certification platform. This device is widely believed to be the Redmi K90 Ultra.
The certification also confirms that the smartphone will support up to 100W fast charging and will ship with a compatible MDY-18-EW power adapter.
Based on earlier leaks, the Redmi K90 Ultra is expected to debut as early as April and may launch alongside the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra.
The smartphone is likely to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, which is expected to feature a high-frequency prime core clocked at up to 4.21GHz accompanied by three performance cores and four efficiency cores. This new chipset is said to deliver noticeable performance improvements over its predecessor.
The smartphone is also rumoured to feature a large battery possibly in the range of 8,000mAh to 8,500mAh, along with 100W fast charging support. It has now been confirmed via the 3C listing as well. It is expected to sport a high refresh rate display that could go up to 165Hz, making it suitable for gaming and heavy usage scenarios.
Additional expected features include a 1.5K LTPS display, a dedicated graphics chip and an active cooling fan to manage heat during intensive tasks. The Redmi K90 Ultra may also come equipped with stereo speakers, enhanced haptics, an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
