Redmi is reportedly preparing to introduce two new Note series smartphones in the Indian market soon. The Redmi Note 17 Pro series featuring Redmi Note 17 Pro and Redmi Note 17 Pro Max is expected bring major improvements in battery capacity and performance. Here’s what we know based on the latest reports.

Redmi Note 17 Pro and Note 17 Pro Max – India Launch Date

According to information shared in an exclusive Smartprix report based on tipster Yogesh Brar’s tip, Redmi is planning to launch the Redmi Note 17 Pro and Redmi Note 17 Pro Max in the country on September 15.

Redmi will most likely start teasing the new smartphones officially sometime next week. More details about the devices could emerge as the launch date gets closer.

Among other details, the Smartprix report also reveals that the new phone could come at a significantly higher price.

Redmi Note 17 Pro Series – Expected Price in India

According to the tipster Yogest Brar, Redmi is planning to raise the prices of the Note 17 Pro series by somewhere between Rs 5,000 and Rs 8,000 in India. This is compared to the previous-generation Redmi Note 15 Pro series.

If the report turns out to be accurate, the significant price increase could push the new Redmi Note Pro models into a different segment compared to their predecessors.

The Redmi Note 17 Pro is tipped to feature a 6.8-inch flat OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone could be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset.

It will come with a huge 9,000mAh battery and support 67W fast charging. It is also tipped to feature a 50-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera.

The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max, on the other hand, is also expected to offer a similar 6.8-inch flat OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. However, the Pro Max could get a more powerful Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset.

The larger model is also tipped to feature a massive 10,000mAh battery, which would be paired with support for 100W fast charging. In terms of cameras, the smartphone could feature a 50-megapixel primary rear camera along with a 32-megapixel selfie camera.

Both models are also expected to provide four years of software updates and six years of security updates.
