While the official launch is still a few months away, a fresh leak has revealed key details about Redmi’s upcoming Note series smartphones, Redmi Note 17 Pro+ and Redmi Note 17 Pro Max.
The specs surfaced on X (formerly Twitter) suggesting that Redmi is planning significant improvements in performance, battery and camera capabilities for its next mid-range lineup.
According to the leak posted by X user Tech Home @TechHome100, both the Redmi Note 17 Pro+ and Note 17 Pro Max are expected to feature an LTPS flat display with 1.5K resolution.
The panels are also likely to support a high refresh rate, delivering a smoother and more premium viewing experience within the mid-range segment.
On the camera front, Redmi could introduce a major upgrade with a 200-megapixel primary sensor reportedly based on an HPE sensor.
The biggest highlight of the Redmi Note 17 Pro+ and Pro Max, however, could be their battery capacity. The leak suggests that both devices may pack a massive 10,000mAh battery paired with 100W fast charging support.
If accurate, this would make them among the largest battery smartphones in their category.
In terms of performance, the smartphones are tipped to be powered by a mid-range chipset from the MediaTek Dimensity series. While the exact processor name has not yet been disclosed, it is expected to handle daily tasks and gaming efficiently.
The upcoming Redmi Note 17 series models are expected to feature a metal frame offering a more premium in-hand feel.
The devices are also tipped to come with IP68 and IP69 ratings ensuring strong resistance against dust and water. The smartphones may also include an optical in-display fingerprint sensor.
Notably, Redmi has not officially confirmed any details yet. More information about the devices is expected to surface in the coming weeks.
