Redmi Note 15 SE 5G has been officially launched in India today as the special edition of the standard Redmi Note 15 5G model. The newly launched device brings in India some of the China-exclusive colour options of the Redmi Note 15 5G. The phone also carries a larger battery compared to the standard model. Here’s a look at everything you should know about the new Redmi smartphone.
The Redmi Note 15 SE 5G is available in three memory and storage configurations, which are 6 GB + 128 GB, 8 GB + 128 GB and 8GB + 256 GB. The pricing starts at ₹19,999 for the base model of 6GB and 128GB, while the other models of 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256 GB costs ₹21,999 and ₹23,999, respectively.
Redmi is offering a Rs. 2,000 bank discount on select cards, which further reduces the effective price.
The new phone will go on sale in India on April 7 via Flipkart and the Xiaomi online store.

The phone is offered in Carbon Black, Crimson Reserve (Red) and Frosted White colourways.
When it comes to design, the Redmi Note 15 SE 5G is identical to the standard edition. The handset will boast a gold-coloured frame with the Redmi branding is placed at the centre of the rear panel. It features a squircle-shaped camera module with two cameras and an LED flash. It has a 7.35mm thickness, which is the same as the standard Redmi Note 15 5G. However, the Crimson Reverse shade comes in a vegan leather back increasing the phone’s thickness to 7.82mm.
The Redmi Note 15 SE 5G sports the same display as the standard model. To recall, the Redmi Note 15 5G is equipped with a 6.77-inch (1,080 x 2,392 pixels) AMOLED display, delivering up to 120Hz of refresh rate, up to 3,200 nits peak brightness and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection.
The handset is also powered by the same chipset as the standard Redmi Note 15 5G. You will get a Qualcomm’s octa core Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset along with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 onboard storage. It run on Xiaomi’s Android 16-based HyperOS 3.
The phone is being marketed with “48-month lag free performance” tags and the company claims that it offers a 10 percent “GPU boost” and 30 percent “CPU boost” over its previous Redmi Note 14 model.
The Redmi Note 15 SE 5G rear camera configuration carries a dual rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel MasterPixel primary shooter capable of recording up to 4K videos.
For battery, the phone packs a 5,800mAh capacity unit claimed to offer more than 44 hours of usage on a single charge. The handset supports 45W wired fast charging.
