Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Note 14 SE in India, marking the first ‘SE’ variant in the Note series. The phone offers nearly identical specs to the standard Redmi Note 14, but it is priced lower at ₹14,999. Note 14 price, on the other hand, starts at ₹18,999.
This strategic release appears aimed at filling the sub-₹15,000 gap in Xiaomi’s lineup, especially with the Note 15 series still a few months away. Here‘s more about the phone.
Redmi Note 14 SE – Key Specs
The Note 14 SE is available in a single Crimson Art colour and features a slightly refreshed design that includes a square-shaped camera module, curved edges and a glossy-matte finish.

It sports a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 2,100 nits peak brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Other notable features include an in-display fingerprint scanner and dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, which give it a premium edge in the budget segment where LCD screens are still common.
Under the hood, it runs on the same MediaTek Dimensity 7025 Ultra chipset as the standard Note 14. It comes with 6GB of RAM, 128GB UFS 2.2 storage and support for up to 6GB virtual memory via RAM expansion. There’s also microSD card support.
While the SE variant hasn’t been benchmarked yet, performance is expected to be similar to the Note 14, which we found suitable for everyday use and gaming, but slightly behind rivals like the iQOO Z9s and Realme 13 in thermal management and benchmarks.
Out of the box, the Note 14 SE ships with Android 15, giving it a software advantage over the Note 14, which launched with Android 14.
The camera setup includes a 50MP primary sensor, 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP macro, along with a 20MP front-facing camera. This is the same configuration as the Note 14, which impressed us with sharp portraits and surprisingly strong low-light performance.
Powering the device is a 5,110mAh battery with 45W fast charging. Xiaomi claims the battery is designed to maintain health for up to four years. While this should comfortably last a full day, it’s worth noting that some budget phones now offer larger 6,000mAh or 6,500mAh batteries.
