Redmi is reportedly preparing to launch the Redmi K100 series as early as next month. At the moment, the exact branding of the leaked device remains unclear. However, based on the hardware details shared by the tipster, the smartphone is expected to launch either as the Redmi K100 Pro or the Redmi K100 Pro Max.
Anyhow, reliable Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station has shared the key specifications of what is believed to be an upcoming Redmi K100 series smartphone. Here’s what we know based on recent leaks.
Redmi K100 Series Specifications (Leaked)
According to the tipster, the engineering prototype of the upcoming Redmi K100 series device features a large flat display with rounded corners. The panel is said to support a 185Hz refresh rate and use an advanced display technology designed to deliver sharper visuals.
The smartphone is tipped to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. It is also expected to include a dedicated display chip to further enhance graphics performance.
For photography, the handset could feature a 200MP primary camera with a large image sensor, paired with a 50MP periscope telephoto camera for long-range zoom shots.
Other leaked features include a large 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, flagship-grade stereo speakers, a larger vibration motor, and IP68 as well as IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
The leak further suggests that the prototype is equipped with a battery of around 9,000mAh capacity. The device is also said to support 100W wired fast charging along with wireless charging.
If these specifications make it to the final retail version, the upcoming Redmi K100 series phone would offer a significant upgrade over the Redmi K90 Pro Max. For comparison, the Redmi K90 Pro Max features a 7,560mAh battery, 100W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, a 50MP primary camera, and a 50MP 5x periscope telephoto camera.
