Earlier this month, a Xiaomi smartphone carrying the model number M511CD was spotted receiving certification with support for 100W wired fast charging. The device is widely believed to belong to the Redmi K100 series.

Reports also indicate that Redmi could officially announce the launch timeline for the new flagship lineup during the event.

Redmi K100 Series – What We Know So Far?

According to previous reports, the Redmi K100 series is expected to consist of three smartphones including the Redmi K100, Redmi K100 Pro, and Redmi K100 Pro Max.

Leaks suggest that Redmi may first introduce the K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max, while the standard Redmi K100 could arrive later this year. This launch strategy is said to help bridge the pricing gap that existed between the Redmi K90 standard model and the K90 Pro Max.

The Redmi K100 lineup is tipped to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. Some reports also claim that the Pro variants could feature a dual-chip architecture for enhanced performance.

In terms of display, the smartphones are expected to feature a 185Hz LTPO flat display. The camera setup is rumoured to include a 200-megapixel primary sensor, telephoto macro support, and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. Other expected features include a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance, and symmetrical stereo speakers. The Redmi K100 Pro Max is also tipped to retain its exclusive triple-speaker 2.1 audio system.

Earlier reports suggested that the devices could pack batteries exceeding 8,000mAh, while more recent leaks claim Redmi is also testing a massive 10,000mAh battery for the lineup. The phones are expected to support 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging.

On the design front, the Redmi K100 series is rumoured to feature a premium metal frame, a colour-matched glass back, and a large horizontal camera module inspired by the latest flagship smartphone designs.

Poco F9 Series Rebranding Expected

Recent reports also suggest that the Redmi K100 series could be rebranded for global markets as the Poco F9 Pro and Poco F9 Ultra. These Poco-branded smartphones have already appeared on several certification platforms, hinting that their launch may not be far away.
