Redmi Buds 8 Pro – Key Features

Each earbud is equipped with an 11mm titanium-coated dynamic driver that handles bass and mid-range frequencies, paired with two 6.7mm micro piezoelectric ceramic drivers dedicated to high frequencies.

Xiaomi uses an independent frequency crossover design along with dual DACs to separately power low and high frequencies for improved clarity. The earbuds support Xiaomi’s MIHC audio codec, are compatible with LHDC-V5, and come with Hi-Res Wireless Audio certification.

For noise control, the Redmi Buds 8 Pro feature Xiaomi’s Deep Space Noise Cancellation 3.0 technology, offering up to 55dB of active noise reduction across a wide 5kHz frequency range. The system analyses environmental noise and ear-fit conditions 32,000 times per second to make real-time adjustments. Users can choose from 20 ANC levels, along with intelligent scene detection, personalised noise-cancellation profiles, and single-ear ANC support.

The earbuds also support spatial audio with dynamic head tracking, enabled by a built-in six-axis gyroscope. Xiaomi has added its own spatial audio rendering engine and Dolby Audio support. However, Dolby’s spatial audio mode does not include head tracking functionality.

Xiaomi has introduced swipe-based controls on the earbud stems for precise volume adjustment, complete with haptic feedback. The charging case also gets a redesigned light bar that displays battery levels and charging progress through animated lighting effects.

On the smart features front, the Redmi Buds 8 Pro support Xiaomi HyperOS Connect, Smart Find, seamless audio handoff between devices, dual-device connectivity, and notification voice broadcast.
