Xiaomi’s affordable Redmi series is set for another refresh and a new leak gives us an early glimpse at the Redmi 15C 5G. It is expected to launch in August alongside other models in the Redmi 15 series. Here’s what we know about the phone so far.
The leak from XpertPick reveals that the Redmi 15C 5G will feature a 6.9-inch LCD display with HD+ resolution (1600 x 720) and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate for a more responsive user experience.
Design-wise, the phone keeps things fresh and youthful with colour options like black, lavender, and green, according to the leak.
The front panel sports a waterdrop notch, while the back houses a squircle-shaped camera module with a single 50MP main sensor.
The Redmi 15C 5G will be powered by a 6,000mAh battery, which should easily last more than a day on a single charge. The device will also support 33W fast charging, a welcome feature at this price point.
While the exact chipset is still unknown, leaks suggest that the Redmi 15 5G might use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6s Gen 3, and the 15C 4G variant is rumoured to ship with a MediaTek Helio G81. The 15C 5G will reportedly come in two storage options, 4GB RAM paired with either 128GB or 256GB of internal storage.
On the software side, the Redmi 15C 5G is expected to launch with Android 15 and HyperOS 2.0. It will also include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for added biometric security.
The entire Redmi 15 series is expected to debut in multiple global markets including Europe by August.
