Red Magic has launched its latest gaming-focused tablet, the Red Magic Gaming Tablet 3 Pro. It’s packed with high-end hardware aimed at serious gamers and touted as the industry’s first OLED small gaming tablet. It combines top-tier specs with a sleek and immersive design. Here’s all we know.

The tablet comes with a 9.06-inch OLED display with ultra-slim 4.9mm bezels, giving it a high 90.1% screen-to-body ratio. It boasts a 165Hz refresh rate, sub-1ms response time and a peak brightness of 1600 nits (global peak at 1000 nits). With a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, the visuals are vibrant and crisp, whether you’re gaming or streaming. Eye comfort is also taken care of, thanks to TÜV Rheinland certifications and 5280Hz PWM dimming for flicker-free use.
Under the hood, the Red Magic Gaming Tablet 3 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, built on a 3nm process. It’s supported by the Red Core R3 Pro co-processor, which handles tasks like frame rate boosts and super resolution for optimised gaming.
It comes with ultra-fast LPDDR5T RAM (9600 Mbps) and UFS 4.1 Pro storage, ensuring quick load times and seamless multitasking.
Keeping things cool is the ICE 3.0 cooling system, which includes a sandwich VC structure, liquid metal 2.0 and an active turbo fan for sustained high performance during intense gaming sessions.

The tablet runs Red Magic OS 10.5, tailored for gamers. It includes the Cube Game Engine, which enhances frame rates, battery efficiency, and thermal management across 30+ supported games. It also features a PC emulator to play desktop games locally, a Super Workbench for productivity, and Magic Companion 2.0, an AI assistant that helps with in-game support and system navigation.
For everyday use, the tablet includes a 13MP rear camera and a 9MP front camera for video calls or streaming. It houses a large 8200mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging, 50% charge in just 22 minutes. It also includes bypass charging, reducing heat during long gaming sessions.
For touch control, there’s a Synaptics S3930 controller with a 2000Hz instant sampling rate and 240Hz 10-finger native sampling rate, offering accurate, responsive input. It even supports call answering directly from the tablet.
Audio and haptics are well-covered with dual symmetrical super-linear speakers and dual X-axis linear motors, offering immersive sound and vibration feedback. Connectivity features include NFC, a fingerprint sensor, and low-latency casting via both wired and wireless connections.

The Red Magic Gaming Tablet 3 Pro comes in two eye-catching colour options, which includes DaoFeng Transparent Dark Night and DaoFeng Transparent Silver Wing.

While the tablet is now available in China, it will launch globally as the REDMAGIC Astra Gaming Tablet. The global pricing is expected to be announced on July 1, 2025.
