The Red Magic Astra features a 9.06-inch OLED screen with a crisp 2400×1504 resolution and a super-smooth 165Hz refresh rate. It gets impressively bright at up to 1600 nits and has slim 4.9mm bezels, giving you a 90.1% screen-to-body ratio. For eye protection, the display supports 5280Hz PWM dimming and is TÜV Rheinland certified for low blue light and flicker-free viewing.
Under the hood, the tablet runs on the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, made using TSMC’s 3nm process. It’s paired with the Red Core R3 Pro co-processor to enhance frame rates, boost AI gaming, and support high-res rendering. It uses ultra-fast LPDDR5T RAM (up to 24GB) and UFS 4.1 Pro storage (up to 1TB), so everything feels snappy.
The Astra runs on Redmagic OS 10.5, based on Android 15. The OS includes a custom Cube Game Engine to optimise performance and heat control, plus tools like PC emulator support, Super Workbench for productivity, and Magic Companion 2.0 AI assistant.
For casual use, the tablet has a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera for video calls or content creation. It packs an 8200mAh battery with 80W fast charging, reaching 50% in just 22 minutes. There’s also bypass charging that helps prevent overheating during long gaming sessions.
Audio is handled by dual symmetrical 1620 super-linear speakers tuned with DTS:X Ultra. You also get dual X-axis linear motors for vibration feedback in games. Touch response is super precise thanks to the Synaptics S3930 controller with a 2000Hz touch sampling rate.
The tablet supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and USB-C 3.2 Gen 2. There’s a fingerprint scanner built into the power button for easy unlocking.
