Realme has officially expanded its product lineup in China with the launch of the Realme Neo 8 smartphone and the Realme Buds Air8 true wireless earbuds. Both devices were unveiled at a launch event held on January 22. Here’s all you need to know about both newly launched devices.
The Realme Neo 8 is a dual-SIM (Nano + Nano) smartphone that runs Android 16 with Realme UI 7.0 on top. It features a 6.78-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,272 x 2,772 pixels. The screen supports a 165Hz refresh rate and a 360Hz touch sampling rate. Built using Samsung’s M14 display materials, the panel is claimed to deliver peak brightness of up to 3,800 nits.
Powering the device is an octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage.

In the camera department, the Realme Neo 8 comes with a triple rear camera setup including a 50-megapixel wide-angle sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS), an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera, also with OIS. For selfies and video calls, the phone features a 16-megapixel front camera.
The handset includes an ultrasonic 3D fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication and is protected by crystal armour glass for improved scratch and drop resistance. It is also equipped with the Sky Signal Chip S1, which is designed to enhance signal location and connectivity performance. Realme has confirmed that the Neo 8 will receive three major Android updates along with four years of security updates.
Connectivity options include 5G, Bluetooth 6.0, Wi-Fi 7, USB Type-C, and support for multiple satellite navigation systems such as BeiDou, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and QZSS. Onboard sensors include a proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, colour temperature sensor, electronic compass, accelerometer, gyroscope, and an infrared remote control. The phone features dual stereo speakers and carries IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
The Realme Neo 8 packs an 8,000mAh battery with support for 80W wired fast charging. It also supports bypass charging for gaming sessions. The smartphone measures 8.30mm in thickness and weighs 215 grams.

The smartphone is currently available for purchase in China in Cyber Purple, Mech Grey and Origin White colour options.
In China, the Realme Neo 8 is priced at CNY 2,399 (roughly Rs. 33,000) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. The 16GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB models are priced at CNY 2,699 (around Rs. 35,000) and CNY 2,899 (around Rs. 38,000), respectively.
The 16GB + 512GB version costs CNY 3,199 (approximately Rs. 41,000), while the top-end 16GB + 1TB model is priced at CNY 3,699 (roughly Rs. 48,000).
Realme Buds Air 8.
Alongside the smartphone, Realme also introduced the Realme Buds Air8 true wireless earbuds. They are available in Black, Gold, and Purple colour options. The earbuds offer up to 55dB deep-sea active noise cancellation, covering frequencies up to 5,000Hz, aimed at reducing low- and mid-frequency noise more effectively. They also feature six-microphone call noise reduction for clearer voice calls.
For audio performance, the Realme Buds Air8 use an 11mm + 6mm dual-driver setup and support Hi-Res Audio Wireless with the LHDC 5.0 lossless codec, focusing on delivering detailed and layered sound. Gamers benefit from a 45ms ultra-low latency mode, while AI-powered features include real-time translation and AI call translation.

The earbuds deliver up to 58 hours of total battery life with the charging case when ANC is turned off. They also come with an IP55 rating for dust and water resistance, making them suitable for everyday use.
The Realme Buds Air8 are priced at 299 yuan (around $41), with a limited-time launch price of 269 yuan. Customers purchasing the earbuds along with the Realme Neo 8 can get them at a further discounted price of 239 yuan.
