It appears Realme is ready to launch its first smartphone in the NEO lineup after it separated its GT Neo Series lineup into two different lineups i.e.
Neo and GT. The launch date of Realme Neo 7 has not been officially revealed yet but the company recently teased some exciting details about its pricing and features. Here’s what we know about the upcoming smartphone.
Realme confirmed that the Neo7 will launch in China with a price tag below CNY 2,499 (around $345, €330 or ₹29,100). The smartphone will be targeting the highly competitive mid-range segment.
Realme claims the Neo7 will deliver the “strongest performance, battery life and quality” in its price range.
The last Neo-branded device released in India was the GT Neo 3 back in 2022. It’s still unclear if Realme plans to bring the Neo lineup back to the Indian market.
The phone is expected to score over 2 million on AnTuTu and pack a massive 6,500mAh+ battery, making it a standout in terms of endurance and power.
The upcoming Neo7 will also focus on durability. Although Realme hasn’t disclosed the exact IP rating, the teasers have hinted it could surpass IP68.
If true, this might mean the Neo7 will feature IP69 certification offering protection against high-pressure and high-temperature water sprays.
While Realme hasn’t fully revealed the specs, rumours suggest the Neo7 will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chipset and feature a 7,000mAh battery. A listing on China’s 3C certification site indicates the phone could support 80W wired SuperVOOC charging and come with a large 1.5K resolution display.
For comparison, the launched recently Realme GT Neo 6 includes a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC, a 5,500mAh battery with 120W charging and a 6.78-inch 1.5K 8T LTPO AMOLED display, starting at CNY 2,099 (₹22,000) in China.
It will be interesting to see if the Realme Neo7 could set new standards in the mid-range smartphone category.
Meanwhile, Realme recently launched the GT 7 Pro in India.
