The Realme GT7 Pro was launched last November and now Realme is all set to release the base GT7 model sometime this month. While earlier teasers already revealed it’ll be powered by the Dimensity 9400+ chipset and pack a 7000mAh+ battery, it seems Realme has incorporated something even more interesting.

Realme has introduced a new back material it’s calling a “graphene fiberglass fusion,” which it claims has “600% the thermal conductivity of traditional glass.” According to the company, this is an industry-first innovation. Here’s what we know about the feature and the phone so far.

Most high-performance phones today especially from Chinese brands use large VC (vapor chamber) cooling plates to manage heat around the processor. But these plates still need the heat to escape somewhere, and usually, neither the front nor the back of the phone does a great job of that. Some brands tried metal backs, but those came with their own compromises.
Now, if Realme’s claim holds up, this new back material could really improve how well the GT7 manages heat over time. That means better sustained performance, especially during gaming or heavy tasks. Plus, Realme says the material is also thinner, lighter, and more drop-resistant.
According to reports, the upcoming GT7 will be slimmer and lighter than the GT6.
The GT6 had a plastic back, was 8.4mm thick, and weighed 207g. The upcoming GT7 is expected to be even slimmer and lighter, and with this new material, the difference should be noticeable not just in weight but in how cool the phone stays in your hand.
The camera setup on the GT6 included a 50MP main, a 50MP 47mm telephoto, and an 8MP ultrawide, supporting 4K at 60fps and 1080p at 240fps video recording. The front camera was 32MP with 4K at 30fps but no slow-motion. The GT7 is expected to keep a similar camera setup, if not get a few upgrades.
All in all, the Realme GT7 is shaping up to be not just a performance powerhouse but a smarter one due to that new heat-dissipating back.
