Realme has officially launched the Realme GT 8 Pro in India, alongside a special Realme GT 8 Pro Dream Edition. The flagship arrives with Ricoh GR-tuned cameras and Qualcomm’s latest 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. The Dream Edition, meanwhile, stands out with a textured rear panel featuring the Aston Martin logo. Here’s everything you need to know about the new smartphone.
The device is a dual-SIM flagship running Realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16. It features a 6.79-inch QHD+ (1,440×3,136 pixels) BOE Q10 Flexible AMOLED display with up to 144Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling rate, HDR support, 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut, and 2,000 nits peak brightness in HBM. The panel delivers 508ppi pixel density, 1.07 billion colours, a 19.6:9 aspect ratio, and is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i.
Powering the phone is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC built on the 3nm architecture, paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB UFS 4.1 storage. The chipset runs at a peak clock speed of 4.60GHz, accompanied by an Adreno 840 GPU. To manage thermals, the GT 8 Pro includes a vapour chamber cooling system with a 7,000 sq mm heat dissipation area.

For photography, the Realme GT 8 Pro uses a Ricoh GR-tuned triple rear camera system. It includes a 50-megapixel Sony IMX906 primary sensor (f/1.8) with OIS and a 22mm focal length, a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera (f/2.0), and a 200-megapixel telephoto lens (f/2.6) offering up to 120x digital zoom. The phone also supports panorama, Slow-Motion, dual-view video, time-lapse, and Google Lens integration. The rear cameras can record videos in up to 4K at 60fps. A 32-megapixel front camera (f/2.4) handles selfies and video calls. Users also get a swappable camera island design with three interchangeable modules.
A large 7,000mAh battery powers the device supported by 120W SuperVOOC wired fast charging. The phone is rated IP66, IP68, and IP69 for dust and water resistance. Its dimensions are 161.80×76.87×8.20mm, and it weighs up to 214g.
Connectivity options include 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 6.0, USB Type-C, NFC, and multiple satellite navigation systems such as BeiDou, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, and NavIC. Onboard sensors include a proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, colour temperature sensor, e-compass, accelerometer, gyroscope, and hall sensor.
The Realme GT 8 Pro starts at Rs. 72,999 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model. The top-end version with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage is priced at Rs. 78,999.

The Realme GT 8 Pro Dream Edition comes in a single 16GB RAM + 512GB storage variant at Rs. 79,999.
Realme will offer the GT 8 Pro through Flipkart and the company’s online store in Diary White and Urban Blue colours. Both the standard GT 8 Pro and the Dream Edition will go on sale from November 25 to November 29.
Early buyers of the standard model can claim a free deco set, up to Rs. 5,000 bank discount, and up to six months of EMI options. The Dream Edition does not include any discounts but offers a 12-month EMI plan.
