It’s just been a few days since the Realme GT 7 Pro saw a wider launch and we are already getting reports on the next upgrade of the line.
In November, Realme launched the GT 7 Pro in China with its slim 8.55mm body and a massive 6,500mAh battery.
While these upgrades might impress many tech enthusiasts and reviewers, it appears folks at Realme are not satisfied.
The massive 6500mAh battery in GT 7 Pro was made possible by the brand’s use of silicon-carbon anode battery technology, which combines silicon and carbon to create high-energy-density, long-lasting batteries.
Realme now seems to be too eager to push the battery capacity limits to even further with its next rumoured flagship the GT 8 Pro.
According to tipster Digital Chat Station, the brand is considering three battery configurations each offering impressive capacity but with trade-offs in charging speed.
DCS share below possibilities –
8,000mAh Battery + 80W Charging: The largest option focuses on exceptional endurance but sacrifices speed. It could take up to 70 minutes to fully charge.
7,500mAh Battery + 100W Charging: This strikes a balance between battery size and speed, with estimated charging times of around 55 minutes.
7,000mAh Battery + 120W Charging: The smallest of the three options still has a bigger than usual battery life while maintaining fast charging. Full charges could take just 42 minutes.
While these configurations are based on leaks and may change, they hint at Realme’s ambitious plans for long-lasting, high-performance smartphones.
These configurations when paired with flagship processors like the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor can turn the GT 8 Pro potentially into a device with multi-day battery life.
It is still soon to expect any official word on this development. However, we can expect more updates to emerge. If the leaks turn out to be true, Realme’s next flagship could redefine battery performance in smartphones.
