Realme Buds T200 – Design and Build Quality

We’ve been using the Realme Buds T200 for a couple of days now and its seems decent enough in terms of design or build quality. This is at par with what you expect from earbuds on this price segment.
We received the earbuds in the Snowy White colour and it has a clean, minimal look. The case has a glossy finish, which gives it a neat appearance. However, it does seem like a finish that will pick up scratches pretty easily if you’re not careful. It’s made of polycarbonate material and while it’s nothing fancy, it actually feels quite sturdy in the hand. It comes with an IP55 rating for dust and water protection.
The case is compact enough to slip into your pocket without creating a bulge. There’s a small LED indicator on the front along with Realme branding. The charging port sits at the bottom.
The earbuds themselves have a small stem-style design and are super lightweight. We could wear them for hours at a stretch without any discomfort. We didn’t feel any slipping out or awkward pressure points. The fit is snug and stable. It feels secure while just walking around or even on a quick jog. To sum up, it is a design that works well for daily use.
Realme Buds T200 – Audio Quality

Contrary to our initial expectation, the Realme Buds T200 actually sound pretty solid for the price. There are 12.4mm drivers packed in these. The buds are enough punchy to make music sound full and energetic. The vocals are crisp, the instruments sound clear and the bass has that decent thump without being too boomy.
These might not be the perfect pair for bass-heavy lovers, but buds hold up well across genres nonetheless.
The volume output is pretty good. It gets loud enough without distorting, which is great for buds in this segment. The sound pressure here in the Indian variant is rated at 102±2dB, so we felt the impact even at medium volume levels.
In terms of audio support, you get AAC, SBC, and even LDAC codecs. If your phone supports LDAC, you’ll definitely notice a bump in sound quality along with more detail, clearer highs.
There are two mics on each bud and we noticed that voice clarity during calls was decent. It’s obviously not studio-grade but the microphone sensitivity of -38dB makes sure voice is picked up clean. We tried them in moderately noisy environments and the results were better than expectations.
Realme Buds T200 – Features, ANC and Touch Controls

Buds T200 support Bluetooth 5.4, which ensures the connection stays stable even. If you are a Realme phone user, you even get that neat little personalised pop-up window when you open the case. For other Android phones, there’s a GFP pop-up to make pairing easier. We didn’t face any random disconnections during the time we used T200 and pairing was quick too.
There’s active noise cancellation support too. It gets up to 32dB of ANC, which is pretty solid for this price. As for performance, it does a good job of cutting out fan noise or light outside chatter. There’s also a transparent mode. We tested it while walking outside and it does help in staying aware of your surroundings without having to take the buds out.
The touch controls work well. You can double-tap to play/pause or answer calls, triple-tap to skip tracks, and long-press to switch noise control modes or reject a call. What’s even better is that these controls are customisable via the Realme Link app, so you can tweak them to suit your habits.
There’s voice assistant support, OTA updates and an LED status indicator to show charging or pairing status.
Realme Buds T200 – Battery and Charging

Realme Buds T200’s battery life is pretty impressive as each earbud packs a 58mAh battery. We consistently got around 6 to 7 hours of playback at 50% volume and with noise cancellation or transparency mode turned on.
If you are a light user, that’s more than enough to get through a full workday or a few long commutes.
The charging case holds a 530mAh battery and the brand claims a total of up to 50 hours of playback. As we used the buds, we only had to charge the case every few days even with regular use. It comes with a USB-C port for charging. The full case and earbuds together take about 2.30 hours to fully charge.
Overall, the battery is reliable and it’s definitely been one of the strong points during our use.
Verdict – Should I Buy Realme T200?

Realme Buds T200 are comfortable, compact and have essential features that you would expect from TWS earbuds in this segment.
Apart from regular TWS features, additions such as LDAC support, IP55 rating, dual device connection and a responsive control system definitely adds to the value. For what they cost, they deliver more than expected.
So, we would say if you want a pair of earbuds with good sound, dependable battery life and decent ANC without breaking the bank, the Realme Buds T200 are definitely worth considering.
