Realme has officially confirmed the India launch of the Realme 16 5G. The upcoming smartphone will arrive as the company’s next mid-range offering and is scheduled to launch in the first week of April. Notably, the handset was earlier introduced in select global markets in January. Here’s our full report.

A dedicated landing page on Flipkart has already revealed some key details about the device including its colour options. According to the microsite, Realme 16 5G will be offered in Air Black and Air White shades.
Realme 16 5G – What Else We Know?
Realme has confirmed that the smartphone will pack a large 7,000mAh battery, which will support 60W fast charging. On the software side, the device will ship with Android 16 out of the box, layered with Realme UI 7.0.
The company has also promised long-term software support with three Android OS upgrades and four years of security updates. For thermal management, the phone will include a vapour chamber cooling system with a 6,050 sq mm heat dissipation area.
In terms of durability, the Realme 16 5G is rated IP69, offering protection against dust and water exposure.
According to the company, the Realme 16 5G will feature a 6.57-inch display. For photography, it will include a 50-megapixel rear camera housed in a horizontally aligned camera module. The camera setup also includes a ring-shaped LED flash and a small reflective surface, which Realme is marketing as a “selfie mirror.” This unique element in the camera module will allow users to take selfies using the rear camera.
Just to recall, the global version of the Realme 16 5G comes equipped with a dual rear camera setup, consisting of a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset and offers up to 12GB of RAM along with 256GB of internal storage. The device has a thickness of 8.1mm and weighs 183g.
