The pre-load, on the other hand, started a day earlier on November 12 at 02:00 UTC. The rollout window is scheduled between 01:00 and 12:00 UTC on November 13, though the timing could vary slightly.

Once the update goes live, players will notice major performance upgrades across the new-generation consoles. The supported resolutions and frame rates will be as follows –

Transition Rewards for PS4 and Xbox One Players

To thank players from the previous generation, Krafton will offer exclusive in-game rewards to anyone who created a PUBG: Battlegrounds account on PS4 or Xbox One before the new update goes live. Eligible players will automatically receive the following items in their in-game inventory –

  • PUBG Icons Parachute
  • Desolate Military Base (Nameplate)
  • PUBG Graffiti (Emblem)

Additionally, special bundles will be made available for PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass subscribers, alongside upcoming discounts on Battlegrounds Plus memberships.

Following the release of Update 38.2, Krafton plans to host several console-exclusive events open to new, returning, and existing players. Participants can also earn 500 G-Coin by inviting friends who are either returning to or joining the game for the first time.
