Pova 8 has officially arrived in the Indian market as the latest addition to the Pova smartphone lineup. The new handset succeeds last year’s Pova 7 and brings several notable upgrades including a large 8,000mAh battery, a 144Hz display and a customisable Alive Matrix Display integrated into the rear panel.

The smartphone is offered in multiple colour variants and RAM-storage configurations. Here’s everything you need to know about the latest phone.

The smartphone has been introduced in two variants. The 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model is priced at Rs. 29,999, while the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage version carries a price tag of Rs. 31,999.

Buyers can choose between 16 Bit White, Plasma Orange and Terminal Green colour options. The handset will be sold through Flipkart in India starting June 18th, 2026 at 12 PM IST.

Pova 8 – Key Features

The newly launched Pova 8 sports a 6.76-inch Full-HD+ IPS display with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,344 pixels. The panel supports a 144Hz refresh rate and offers a 91.29 percent screen-to-body ratio. Other display highlights include 381ppi pixel density, up to 950 nits brightness in High Brightness Mode, and a 1,500Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate.

A standout design feature is the Alive Matrix Display located on the rear panel. The customisable display can show alerts and notifications from various supported applications.

The device is powered by the 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 7100 processor paired with a Mali-G610 MC2 GPU and runs on HiOS 16 based on Android 16. It is available with LPDDR5X RAM options of 6GB and 8GB, while storage choices include 128GB and 256GB UFS 2.2 variants. The handset also incorporates dedicated G1 and SE1 signal chipsets.

One of the biggest highlights of the Pova 8 is its 8,000mAh battery. The phone supports 45W fast charging. According to the company, it can provide up to 1,198.1 hours of standby time, up to 39.5 hours of calling time and as much as 17.77 hours of video playback on a single charge.

For photography, the Pova 8 features a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 rear camera accompanied by a light sensor. Selfies and video calls are handled by a 13-megapixel front-facing camera.

The camera system supports several shooting modes and features including AI CAM, Portrait Mode, Super Night Mode, Time-lapse, Dual Video, Vlog Mode and Slow Motion recording.

The handset comes with MIL-STD-810H certification and carries an IP64 rating for protection against dust and splashes. For thermal management, it includes a 14,689 sq mm cooling system designed to maintain performance during gaming sessions.

The Pova 8 measures 165.66 x 78.46 x 8.8mm and weighs 225 grams.
