While the company has already teased the launch of the new series, it has now revealed the chipsets that will power these devices. Meanwhile, the Poco X8 Pro Max has reportedly surfaced on a benchmarking platform, offering a glimpse at its possible performance. So, based on recent leaks and teasers, here’s what we know about the series so far.
Poco X8 Series Chipsets Confirmed
Poco has now confirmed on X that its upcoming Poco X series smartphones will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra and MediaTek Dimensity 9500s processors.
Interestingly, the company has not officially confirmed the device names associated with each chipset. However, media reports suggest that the upcoming Poco X8 Pro may feature the Dimensity 8500 Ultra SoC, while the Poco X8 Pro Max could be powered by the Dimensity 9500s chip.

Poco X8 Pro Max Geekbench Listing
Meanwhile, a Xiaomi smartphone with the model number Xiaomi 2602BPC18G has appeared on the Geekbench database. According to tech blogger Anvin via an Xpertpick report, the listing is believed to belong to the Poco X8 Pro Max.
The device listed on Geekbench reportedly runs Android 16 and features 11GB of memory, which is likely to be marketed as 12GB of RAM.
The listing also indicates that the handset uses an octa-core ARMv8 processor, which is believed to be the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s. According to the benchmark details, the chipset includes a prime core clocked at 3.73GHz, three performance cores running at 3.30GHz, and four efficiency cores with a maximum clock speed of 2.40GHz.
In the Geekbench test results, the Poco X8 Pro Max achieved 2,659 points in the single-core test and 8,386 points in the multi-core benchmark.
