* The upcoming POCO F5 Pro smartphones has finished the Thai NBTC certification process.
* The launch of the device appears to be imminent.
* The POCO F5 Pro is said to feature a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, a 120Hz refresh rate AMOLED display, and a 64MP main camera.
Rumours surrounding the launch of the POCO F5 series of smartphones have been popping up on the internet for quite a while now.
While the company’s officials in India have been teasing the arrival of the vanilla POCO F5, the global market is likely to witness the launch of the POCO F5, as well as the POCO F5 Pro. Speaking of, the POCO F5 Pro has cleared the NBTC certification process today, thereby hinting at an imminent launch.
Let’s take a look.
As seen in the tweet above, the POCO F5 Pro (with the model number POCO 23013PC75G) has finished the Thai NBTC certification process, which hints that the launch of the device must be nearing.
Do note that this is the global variant of the device, as it has the letter G at the end.
We crawled the potential Indian variant on the relevant certification websites, but it is nowhere to be seen. This could potentially mean that the POCO F5 Pro would either not launch at all in India or might arrive sometime later this year. The chances of the former, however, are more likely.
Nevertheless, the NBTC certification confirms the moniker of the device and the fact that it will, well, be a 5G handset. Plus, it helps us map the device with its Chinese counterpart, the Redmi K60.
The POCO F5 Pro is tipped to feature a 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and an under-display fingerprint scanner. In terms of cameras, the device is expected to feature a 64MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide angle camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 16MP front camera.
Coming to the battery of the device, the POCO F5 Pro will likely feature a 5,500mAh battery with support for 67W wired fast charging and 30W wireless fast charging.
The device will reportedly be powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, which could be coupled with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage.
Lastly, the POCO F5 Pro will likely boot the latest Android 13-based MIUI 14 skin out of the box.
