Poco seems to be gearing up for another budget smartphone launch with the Poco C85 4G surfacing on the Google Play Console. This follows earlier leaks of its renders and specifications, hinting that its debut may not be far away. Here’s what we know so far.
The device is listed with the model number “25078PC3EG” under the name Poco C85 4G. According to the listing, the smartphone will be powered by the MediaTek MT6769 SoC, paired with a Mali-G52 GPU clocked at 820MHz.
The CPU is configured with eight cores, two of which run at 2GHz and the rest at 1.7GHz, confirming it as the Helio G81 chipset.
The listing further reveals that the Poco C85 4G will feature 8GB RAM and run on Android 15 out of the box. As for the display, it is shown with an HD+ resolution of 720 × 1600 pixels and a screen density of 320 (xhdpi).
Early reports suggest that the Poco C85 4G could be a rebranded version of the recently launched Redmi 15C 4G. The model numbers are strikingly similar, “25078RA3EY” for the Redmi 15C 4G and “25078PC3EG” for the Poco C85 4G. This indicates that the upcoming Poco phone may also ship with the Helio G81 Ultra, just like its Redmi counterpart.
Considering that the Redmi 14C 4G and Poco C75 4G were essentially rebranded versions of each other, the same strategy might apply here as well. Until Poco makes an official announcement, prospective buyers can look at the Redmi 15C 4G’s specifications for a fair idea of what to expect.
The Redmi 15C 4G comes with a 6.9-inch HD+ Dot Drop display supporting up to 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling, and up to 810 nits peak brightness. It is powered by the MediaTek Helio G81 Ultra chipset with Mali-G52 MC2 GPU and runs on Xiaomi HyperOS 2.
The phone offers multiple configurations, 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB RAM options with up to 256GB storage, expandable via microSD up to 1TB. Memory extension allows the 8GB variant to expand up to 16GB.
In terms of cameras, it features a 50MP primary rear camera with an auxiliary sensor, while the front houses an 8MP shooter. Both support HDR, Night mode, Portrait mode, and video recording at 1080p 30fps.
A large 6000mAh battery with 33W fast charging powers the device, coupled with USB Type-C connectivity. Other highlights include IP64 water and dust resistance, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, AI face unlock, NFC (market-dependent), dual SIM with microSD slot, FM radio, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a wide range of connectivity options including GPS, Glonass, Galileo, and Beidou.
The Redmi 15C 4G is available in Moonlight Blue, Midnight Black, Mint Green, and Twilight Orange.
