This upcoming device will serve as the successor to the Oppo Reno 7A, which made its debut in June 2022.
Interestingly, Oppo skipped the release of the Reno 8A smartphone, making the Reno 9A the direct successor in their lineup.
A new report by The Tech Outlook has revealed the entire specifications and images of the device.
OPPO has added a new smartphone to its Reno 9 series dubbed as the OPPO Reno 9A. This new device is launched by OPPO in Japan. When it comes to specifications, the newly launched OPPO Reno 9A features a 6.4-inch display with a Full HD+ resolution.
The device has a 90Hz refresh rate and a 409 PPI pixel density. The smartphone comes with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It features a triple-camera setup, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and a 16MP selfie camera.

Oppo Reno 9A Design
Leaked renders of the Oppo Reno 9A reveal that the phone features a corner punch-hole display, where the front-facing camera is located.
On the back, there is a rectangular glossy section positioned at the top.

OPPO Reno 9A Pricing
The OPPO Reno 9A comes in Night Black and Moon White colour options. The device is available for pre-order and it will go on sale in Japan from June 22nd.
The smartphone is priced at 40,656 yen (Rs 24,000).
OPPO has not shared any details regarding the global availability of the device.

According to the report, the Oppo Reno 9A will feature a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a punch-hole design. It offers an FHD+ resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, and an under-display fingerprint scanner.
The device will be equipped with a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. On the back, it has a 48-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro camera.
The Reno 9A will be yet another midrange phone powered by the Snapdragon 695 chipset and a 4,500mAh battery. The report claims that the device will support Quick Charge 2.0 / USB PD 2.0 charging protocols.
The Reno 9A will arrive with 8 GB of RAM, 8 GB of virtual RAM, and 128 GB of storage. It will offer other features, such as ColorOS 13-based Android 13, a microSD card slot, e-SIM support, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.1, a USB-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
The Reno 9A will arrive with an IPX8 / IP6X waterproof and dust-resistant chassis. It will measure 160 x 74 x 7.8mm and weigh 183 grams. There is no information about the Reno 9A. When available, buyers in Japan will be able to choose from color variants, such as Night Black and Moon White.

It will also run on the Android 13-based ColorOS 13 custom user interface. Regarding its storage, the device will have an inbuilt RAM of 8GB, expandable upto 16GB with the 8GB virtual RAM and an internal storage of 128GB, which can be expanded to upto 1TB with a microSD card.
For its display, the OPPO Reno 9A will be featuring a punch-hole AMOLED display panel with a screen size of 6.4 inches. Its display will also be having a screen resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels and will support a refresh rate of 90Hz.
At its rear, the device will sport a triple camera setup with a main camera of 48MP, an ultrawide angle camera of 8MP and a 2MP macro camera along with its LED flash. For selfies, a 16MP front-facing camera will also be offered on the device.
