Oppo’s next premium mid-range phone has been appearing online recently. At first, a new device with model number PKZ110 recently showed up on Geekbench, running what appeared to be the Dimensity 8400 chipset. But now, a new leak claims otherwise. Here’s what we know.

According to tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS) on Weibo, the PKZ110 model number device is none other than the upcoming Oppo Reno 14 Pro.

While Geekbench listing identified the chipset on the device as the Dimensity 8400, DCS insists that it is actually powered by the unannounced Dimensity 8450 chip. It is a newer and upgraded version of the old chipset.
There’s also a chance the standard Reno 14 might use the same chip, but that’s just speculation for now, as its model number hasn’t leaked yet.

Meanwhile, when someone asked DCS how the Dimensity 8450 differs from the 8400, the tipster compared it to the Dimensity 8350 vs. 8300 situation. For context, last year’s Reno 13 and Reno 13 Pro came with the Dimensity 8350 chipset.
Much like the 8350 and 8300, the CPU and GPU core configurations of Dimensity 8450 are expected to stay the same between the 8450 and 8400. But the 8450 will likely offer better gaming performance, thanks to MediaTek’s StarSpeed Engine.
This includes smoother scene transitions, improved touch response, and slightly better power efficiency. The new chip might also offer small improvements in AI features.
With the Reno 14 series launch expected this month in China, the Dimensity 8450 will probably be made official just before the phones drop.
Leaks also hint that Oppo might launch other products alongside the Reno 14 lineup, which could include the Enco Clip earbuds and the Pad SE tablet. The Pad SE is tipped to feature an 11-inch LCD, a new Dimensity G100 chip, a 9,300mAh battery and 33W fast charging. It will reportedly be 7.39mm thick and weigh 530 grams.
More details should be out soon as we get closer to launch.
