Oppo has now unveiled two new devices, Oppo Reno 14 5G and the more affordable Oppo Reno 13A, in Japan. This launch comes after the brand launched the Reno 11A in Japan back in June 2024. Here’s a closer look at what the Oppo Reno 13A brings to the table.

Oppo Reno 13A – Key Features

The Reno 13A sports a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 1200 nits. It’s protected by AGC Dragontrail STAR2 glass and comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor for security.

For photography, there’s a 32MP front camera, while the rear setup includes a 50MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens with a 112° field of view and a 2MP macro sensor.

Under the hood, the phone is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, paired with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB UFS 3.1 storage. It also supports up to 16GB of virtual RAM and up to 1TB of expandable storage via microSD.

The device packs a 5,800mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging. It runs on ColorOS 15 based on Android 15 and offers features like dual SIM + eSIM support, 5G, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, USB-C and dual speakers. The phone is also IP68/69 rated for dust and water resistance.

It’s 7.8mm thick and weighs 192 grams.

Notably, the Reno 13A is a rebranded version of the Reno 13F, which has been available in other markets since January 2024.

The Oppo Reno 13A is priced at 48,000 Yen (approx $330) and is now available for pre-order in Japan. Meanwhile, the sales are scheduled to start from June 26.

The phone comes in three colours, Charcoal Grey, Ice Blue and Luminous Navy. The SIM-free model will be sold via mass retailers, e-commerce platforms, UQ Mobile, Rakuten Mobile, Y! Mobile, and various MVNO providers.
