It is currently available for pre-order through the company’s official channels and is set to go on sale in China later this month. The Oppo Pad Air 5 runs on Android 16-based ColorOS 16 out of the box. It sports a 12.1-inch LCD display with a resolution of 2,800 × 1,980 pixels, a 7:5 aspect ratio and up to 120Hz refresh rate. The screen supports up to 900 nits of peak brightness, offers a 284ppi pixel density, up to 540Hz touch sampling rate, and covers 98 percent of the DCI-P3 colour gamut.

Under the hood, the tablet is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Ultra octa-core processor with a peak clock speed of 2.5GHz. The chipset is paired with an Arm Mali-G615 MC2 GPU, up to 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM, and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage.
For imaging, the Oppo Pad Air 5 features an 8-megapixel rear camera capable of recording videos at up to 1080p resolution at 30fps. On the front, it carries an 8-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.
Connectivity options on the Oppo Pad Air 5 include Wi-Fi 6 and a USB Type-C port. The cellular variant adds support for 5G connectivity along with Beidou, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and QZSS navigation systems. The Oppo Pad Air 5 will go on sale in China starting December 31 via the Oppo online store. It will be available in Starlight Powder and Space Grey colour options.
The price in China starts at CNY 1,899 (around Rs. 24,000) for the base model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is priced at CNY 2,199 (roughly Rs. 28,000), while the top-end 12GB RAM + 256GB storage option costs CNY 2,499 (about Rs. 32,000).
Oppo is also offering Soft Light editions of the tablet. The Soft Light variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at CNY 2,399 (around Rs. 31,000), while the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage Soft Light model is listed at CNY 2,699 (approximately Rs. 35,000).
