It appears Oppo is sticking to its minimalist design approach with the upcoming Find X8 packaging as well. The packaging of the phone has recently been revealed by Oppo Product Manager Zhou Yibao and it shows a clean design choice.
The box sports a clean, lid-and-base design in a simple grey-and-white colour scheme. Inside, it contains standard accessories like a phone case, SuperVOOC charger, and data cable. However, Yibao has kept the phone itself under wraps for now.
The packaging features the “Oppo Find X8” text in the upper left corner, with a large number “8” on the lower left. The Hasselblad logo is displayed at the bottom and it highlights the camera partnership.
The Find X8 series is expected to launch on October 21, which is shortly after OPPO’s Developer Conference scheduled to take place on October 17.
We’ve already caught a glimpse of the device’s front design, showcasing ultra-narrow, symmetrical bezels that bear a strong resemblance to those on iPhones
The Find X8 is also noticeably slimmer and lighter than its predecessor Find X7.
The phone is expected to have a premium build, featuring a metal frame and glass back with an IP68/69 rating, making it resistant to water and dust.
Measuring just 7mm thick and weighing 190 grams, the Find X8 will come in four colour variants. It includes Black, Blue, White, and a new Pink colour option.
According to leaks, the Find X8 will sport a 6.5-inch BOE display with 1.5K resolution and ultra-thin, equal-sized bezels all around. It will also feature an in-display optical fingerprint sensor for secure unlocking.
Powering the device will be the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset, alongside a large 5,700mAh battery that supports 80W wired charging and 50W magnetic wireless charging.
For camera enthusiasts, the Find X8 will pack a triple-camera setup, including a Sony LYT-600 50MP periscope telephoto lens.
However, it seems there won’t be any macro mode. The device will run on Android 15 with Oppo’s ColorOS 15 skin and will introduce new features like a virtual pressure-sensitive button and an alert slider for quick actions.
Oppo is also preparing to release some accessories for the Find X8, such as a 5,000mAh magnetic power bank, a 50W magnetic charger, and a slim magnetic case.
The X8 Pro model might even come with a satellite communication feature.
