Oppo all set to launch A74 5G in India on April 20

The Chinese smartphone maker, Oppo, is all set to launch its new A74 5G smartphone in India soon. According to a recent leak, a landing page for the smartphone has emerged on Amazon India. The listing confirms that it will be made official on April 20 at 12 PM. Speculations are that it could be a rebranded version of the Oppo A93 5G phone. The Amazon listing has confirmed that the upcoming smartphone has a pinch-hole display and a side-facing fingerprint scanner. The company is also expected to reveal more information about the device before the launch.

 

Hackers sell 827 million LinkedIn profiles at the price of $ 7,000

The social networking website, LinkedIn, recently made headlines when the personal information of 500 profiles was put up on sale on a hacker forum. Now, as per reports, the hacker had put a price of around $2 to view the leaked sample of two million profiles and $ 7,000 for 827 million LinkedIn user profiles. The report also claims that the hacker’s list is likely to contain outdated or duplicate material. The data has been packaged into seven groups, and the material is not being sold separately but in the form of these groups. The company hasn’t responded to any of it.

 

Apple may ditch the iPhone Mini with the 2022 lineup

The iPhone maker, Apple, is now eyeing the 2022 lineup. According to a report by a very known analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo has revealed that the company might ditch the iPhone Mini next year and go ahead with just the 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch screen sizes. Apple introduced the iPhone Mini with the iPhone 12 series last year and it comes with a 5.4-inch display. As per the report, the reason behind this move could be because the device did not get the expected response from the market.

 

Facebook is testing a video speed-dating app called ‘Sparked’

The social media giant, Facebook, is reportedly testing a new dating app called ‘Sparked’. This is different from Facebook Dating, as it’s a video speed-dating app. It still requires a Facebook account though. As per reports, the dating app is developed by Facebook’s experimental app team, NPE. Facebook Sparked has a dedicated site where users can sign up for the dating platform. But the site is currently inaccessible in India. This one is very different from other dating apps as it doesn’t offer public profiles, swiping, and even DMs. The app is basically a video chatting platform but for speed dating that lasts for four minutes. Facebook also lets people extend the speed dating to 10 minutes.

 

Google’s Android 12 leaks show tons of new features

Tech giant, Google, just last month rolled out the second developer’s preview of its upcoming mobile operating system, Android 12. The company is expected to drop Android 12 DP3 anytime now. Ahead of the rollout, some reports have surfaced on the internet revealing features including, updated App Pairs, the ‘split screen’ button changed to ‘pin to top’. The company is also making changes to the Google Assistant button. Google is planning to add a new way to launch Google Assistant that includes holding the power button for a few seconds. Android 12 is expected to launch this year.
