Oppo appears to be preparing to expand its A7 Pro series to global markets. The latest development is the certification of the Oppo A7 Pro Max, suggesting that the smartphone could soon make its way outside China. Here’s what we know based on a recent news leak from a trusted source.
Oppo A7 Pro Max Gets Certified in Malaysia

According to tipster Anvin on X, the Oppo A7 Pro Max with model number CPH2909 has received SIRIM certification in Malaysia. The certification does not reveal any major specifications, but it is an important indication that the phone is being prepared for an international launch.

The A7 Pro series has already appeared in certification databases in the past.
Recently, the Oppo A7 Pro 5G carrying model number CPH2931 was spotted on multiple certification platforms, revealing its marketing name, memory configurations and some other details. Now, the latest SIRIM listing for the A7 Pro Max further suggests that Oppo could be working on a wider global rollout of the series.
Oppo A7 Pro Max 5G – What To Expect?
At the beginning of August, the Oppo A7 Pro Max 5G was officially launched in China as the latest A-series smartphone from the company. Its biggest highlight is a massive 10,000mAh battery, which makes it the first Oppo smartphone to feature a battery of this capacity.
The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chipset and comes with a high-refresh-rate AMOLED display and supports fast charging. For photography, the smartphone features a 50-megapixel camera setup.
In China, the Oppo A7 Pro Max 5G is offered in three memory configurations. The 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is priced at 2,199 Yuan, which is roughly $325. The 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model costs 2,699 Yuan, or around $400. The top-end 12GB RAM + 512GB storage variant carries a price tag of 2,999 Yuan, approximately $445.
The Oppo A7 Pro Max 5G is available in Wave Rider, Orange Glow and Mountain Black colour options.
With the A7 Pro Max now receiving SIRIM certification in Malaysia and the A7 Pro 5G also appearing on certification databases, Oppo seems to be moving closer to launching its A7 Pro series in global markets.
However, the company has yet to confirm the international launch date, pricing or whether the specifications will remain the same as the Chinese models.
