We have already reported that Oppo is preparing to introduce another affordable 5G smartphone, Oppo A6s 5G, in India. The phone was unveiled in global markets in January 2026. However, the version launching in India appears to feature a noticeably different design compared to the international model.
According to a recent exclusive report by 91Mobiles, the upcoming Oppo A6s 5G could launch in the country around or before March 20. Now, the same report has added an update and revealed the expected pricing. Here are more details.
The recent report update suggests that the Oppo A6s 5G price in India will start at Rs 18,999 for the base model with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. A higher variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is expected to be priced at Rs 20,999.

In terms of design, the Indian variant looks similar to the Oppo A6x 5G. It features a simpler dual-camera layout with two large circular camera rings placed directly on the back panel, along with a small LED flash positioned beside them.
The rear panel appears flatter and cleaner with minimal camera housing, giving the device a straightforward budget smartphone look. Teaser images also highlight glossy colour finishes designed to stand out in the affordable segment.
The global model, on the other hand, features a square-shaped camera island located in the top-left corner of the rear panel. This module houses both camera sensors and the flash inside a raised rectangular block, giving the phone a slightly more premium and structured appearance.
Internationally, the device is available in Cappuccino Brown and Ice White colour options. The white variant also includes a subtle patterned texture on the back panel, adding extra visual depth to the design.
Compared to the global version, the Indian variant appears to be a slightly toned-down model. This approach is not unusual for the Indian market, where pricing plays a significant role in purchasing decisions.
For the Indian market, the smartphone is expected to feature a 6.75-inch LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,125 nits of peak brightness. This combination of high refresh rate and strong brightness has become increasingly common among budget and mid-range 5G smartphones.
The device is said to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor. One of the main highlights of the Indian version could be its large 6,500mAh battery paired with 45W fast charging support.
For photography, the Oppo A6s 5G is expected to include a 50-megapixel primary rear camera accompanied by a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. The phone will reportedly be available in Aurora Gold and Plum Purple colour options in India.
The international version, in comparison, features the same 6.75-inch LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and is also powered by the Dimensity 6300 chipset. It comes with a larger 7,000mAh battery and supports faster 80W wired charging. It also carries an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance.
