The upcoming OnePlus Watch 3 is making appearances on certification databases, suggesting the wearable’s launch may be around the corner.
The wearable was found to be listed on the BIS, which is the Bureau of Indian Standards, and on the TUV Rheinland sites.
A new OnePlus Watch appears on the certification website with the model number OPWWE234.
Interestingly enough, this model number is rather close to that of the OnePlus Watch 2, rumoured to carry the model number OPWWE231.
So this is most probably the much-awaited OnePlus Watch 3.
While the name is still withheld, the BIS listing does reveal that the OnePlus Watch 3 will arrive in the Indian market when it launches in the future.
And the TUV Rheinland database listing gives out one key piece of information regarding the battery capacity of the smartwatch.
According to the listing, the OnePlus Watch 3 is going to come with a 500mAh battery, which is the same capacity as what its predecessor, the OnePlus Watch 2, came with.
After all, the OnePlus Watch 2 was announced back in February and is already touting up to 100 hours of battery life with its 500mAh cell.
And it is a thing to establish whether the OnePlus Watch 3 will match or potentially churn out better battery performance.
With these certifications listings live, the OnePlus Watch 3 is truly around the corner, but a new leak hints at pushing its release date ahead.
According to the tipster Digital Chat Station, the launch event for a bunch of new OnePlus and OPPO products has been postponed until further notice.
As for the specifications, rumours also hint at a yet-to-be-announced Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear W5 Gen 2, or maybe its predecessor, power the Wear W5 SoC.
However, concrete details about the OnePlus Watch 3’s hardware and features remain scarce at this point.
The OnePlus Watch 3 has been listed on the BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) and TUV Rheinland certification websites, indicating an upcoming launch.
The OnePlus Watch 3 is listed with the model number OPWWE234, which is close to the rumoured model number of the OnePlus Watch 2 (OPWWE231).
The OnePlus Watch 3 is expected to come with a 500mAh battery, the same capacity as its predecessor, the OnePlus Watch 2.
While certification listings suggest an imminent launch, a tipster has indicated that the launch event for new OnePlus and OPPO products has been postponed until further notice.
