The OnePlus Turbo 6 series is set to launch in China on January 8 at 7 PM local time. The series will include two models, the OnePlus Turbo 6 and the OnePlus Turbo 6V. Ahead of the official launch, OnePlus has already disclosed several details of Turbo 6 with more features now surfacing online.
Pre-orders for the lineup are already live in the country. Here’s what we know so far.
OnePlus has confirmed that the OnePlus Turbo 6 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC. The smartphone features the industry-exclusive “Esports Tri Core” and “Windspeed Gaming Kernel,” which are claimed to deliver a record-breaking gaming experience. According to the company, the device has achieved an AnTuTu benchmark score of 2.6 million.
In addition to the flagship chipset, the OnePlus Turbo 6 is equipped with the Wi-Fi Chip G1 and the Lingxi Touch Chip, further enhancing connectivity and touch responsiveness.
The OnePlus Turbo 6 supports an ultra-high 165fps frame rate, which OnePlus claims improves display speed by 27% while reducing latency by 13ms. The device delivers smooth gameplay across three full frame-rate levels: 165fps, 144fps, and 120fps.
It supports 165fps ultra-high frame rate mode in Call of Duty Mobile, 144fps mode in Honor of Kings, and Valorant: Prototype. Additionally, the smartphone supports 165fps ultra-high frame rates across six major game categories, promising ultra-smooth visuals and a more immersive gaming experience.
Even when running Honor of Kings at 120fps in HD mode alongside a video call, the OnePlus Turbo 6 reportedly maintained an average frame rate of 119.9fps. To manage heat, the device features the Glacier Cooling System, which uses Glacier Graphite and offers over 50% better heat dissipation compared to standard graphite solutions.
As previously revealed, the OnePlus Turbo 6 series is backed by a large 9000mAh battery. OnePlus claims that the Turbo 6 can deliver up to 10 hours of continuous gaming, 18 hours of continuous navigation, and 22 hours of continuous short video streaming on a single charge.
OnePlus has also teased flagship-level battery technology for the Turbo 6 series. The lineup is said to feature a five-year battery health lifespan, and the first OnePlus Turbo 6 units sold will include a two-year battery warranty. The battery is designed to remain reliable even in extreme conditions, supporting usage at temperatures as low as -20 degrees Celsius.
This durability is enabled by the new X25 spherical silicon-carbon anode material and OnePlus’ self-developed battery algorithms, which are claimed to significantly improve long-term battery reliability.
The OnePlus Turbo 6 series is also confirmed to feature a flagship-grade six-axis gyroscope with a customisable sampling rate of up to 200Hz. This setup ensures precise crosshair alignment, fast response times, and stable image stabilisation, further positioning the Turbo 6 series as a gaming-focused smartphone lineup.
