OnePlus has officially announced the global release of OxygenOS 14, taking its proprietary operating system to the next level.
Zach Lin, Lead of OxygenOS Product, made the announcement, outlining the suite of new features and enhancements intended to elevate OnePlus users’ digital experience.
While OnePlus has not revealed the entire list of smartphones that will come with OxygenOS 14, we can take a pretty good guess as to which devices are expected.
Central to the architecture of the newly-released OxygenOS 14 is the Trinity Engine.
This is no mere update; it’s an advanced technological platform that amalgamates six critical technologies, all aimed at bolstering multitasking, heavy tasking, and long-term smartphone usage.
Trinity Engine is complemented by three technologies dedicated to mobile gaming: HyperRendering, HyperTouch, and HyperBoost.
These are designed to enhance graphics quality, the touch experience, and power consumption during gameplay, respectively.
One of the standout features in OxygenOS 14 is its focus on privacy and security.
The updated OS introduces Device Security Engine 3.0, based on the Trusted Execution Environment (TEE).
This is aimed at providing an additional layer of security against malicious activities.
Aquamorphic Design, an aesthetic ethos initially launched in OxygenOS 13, gets a notable upgrade with version 2.0 in OxygenOS 14.
Fluid Cloud is perhaps the most eye-catching addition, transforming how notifications are presented by making them flow naturally on the screen.
The release of OxygenOS 14 also heralds the introduction of smart features aimed at making life easier.
File Dock allows for the collection, analysis, and sharing of information through intuitive gestures.
Moreover, the Notes feature has been revamped to offer more formatting options, making it more versatile than ever.
Initially, OxygenOS 14 will be available on the OnePlus 11 5G in mid-November, with a subsequent broader rollout to other eligible OnePlus devices.
This phased-release approach emphasises the brand’s confidence in OxygenOS 14’s ability to redefine the smartphone experience.
In summary, the release of OxygenOS 14 exemplifies OnePlus’s dedication to delivering a robust, secure, and efficient mobile experience.
With its Trinity Engine, a stronger focus on privacy, and an array of smart and user-centric features, OxygenOS 14 is set to revolutionise the mobile operating systems landscape.
The Trinity Engine is a central part of the newly-released OxygenOS 14. It is an advanced platform that includes six different technologies designed for multitasking, heavy tasking, and prolonged device use. CPU Vitalization, RAM Vitalization, and ROM Vitalization are its three vital components.
OxygenOS 14 is equipped with three distinct technologies specifically designed to boost mobile gaming: HyperRendering, HyperTouch, and HyperBoost. These technologies focus on enhancing graphics quality, the touch experience, and optimizing power consumption during gameplay.
OxygenOS 14 takes a significant leap in privacy and security with the Device Security Engine 3.0, based on the Trusted Execution Environment (TEE). Additional features like Auto Pixelate 2.0 and Photo Management Permission further fortify user data.
OnePlus plans to first release OxygenOS 14 on the OnePlus 11 5G in mid-November. A more comprehensive rollout to other eligible devices will follow shortly after.
