A new smartphone from OnePlus has surfaced online hinting at the brand’s next mid-range offering. The new device is like OnePlus Nord CE 6 with model number “CPH2805” and it has been spotted on Geekbench. Here’s what we know about the phone.
According to tipster Abhishek Yadav @yabhishekhd on X, this model number “CPH2805” as seen in Geekbench is associated with the upcoming OnePlus Nord CE 6. The Geekbench listing suggests that the smartphone will be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor, which is a mid-range chipset from Qualcomm that is also seen in devices like the Poco M8 Pro 5G.
As per the benchmark details, the handset is equipped with 8GB RAM and runs on Android 16. In terms of performance, it achieved a score of 1,101 in the single-core test and 3,117 in the multi-core test. For comparison, the OnePlus Nord CE 5 powered by the Dimensity 8350 Apex chipset and delivered higher scores in earlier testing like 1,325 in single-core and 4,201 in multi-core benchmarks.
The device is expected to arrive as a more affordable alternative to the standard Nord 6 featuring a 165Hz display, Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, and a massive 7,500mAh battery. This appearance on Geekbench come shortly after the launch of the OnePlus Nord 6 in India earlier this month.
Previous leaks indicate that the OnePlus Nord CE 6 alongwith the Nord CE 6 Lite could debut in May.
In terms of additional specifications, the upcoming Nord CE 6 may be based on the OnePlus Turbo 6V, which was launched in China featuring a 6.78-inch display with a 144Hz refresh rate, a large 9,000mAh battery and a 50-megapixel rear camera.
Nord CE 6 is also expected to sport a 32-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls. It could also see an upgrade in charging speeds with rumours pointing toward 80W or faster charging support. The device is likely to be offered in 128GB and 256GB storage variants paired with 8GB RAM and is also expected to come with an improved IP rating for durability.
For context, the predecessor OnePlus Nord CE 5 was launched in July last year with a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Apex processor. The India variant packed a 7,100mAh battery and featured a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It offered a 50-megapixel primary camera with OIS and the 8GB + 128GB model was priced at around ₹24,999.
