Design-wise, the OnePlus Nord Buds 4 Pro feel like thoughtfully designed earbuds right from the moment you pick them up. They are lightweight and that really helps during long listening sessions. We used the earbuds consistently for about a week and we don’t feel any pressure in the ears even during continuous use. This is something many budget earbuds struggle with.
The fit is quite comfortable too. The buds sit securely in the ears and don’t feel loose even while moving around. OnePlus seems to have paid attention to how these actually sit in real-world use and it shows.
One feature that stands out in day-to-day usage is the slide control on the stem for volume. It’s a small addition, but you can really get used to it. And once you do, you don’t really want to go back to tapping your phone every time.
The case and buds have a plastic build with a matte finish. The good thing is, it doesn’t attract fingerprints easily. In terms of durability, the earbuds come with IP55 rating, so they can handle sweat and a bit of dust without issues. The case, however, doesn’t have the same level of protection, so that’s something to keep in mind.
Overall, the design has classic touch and doesn’t leave any room for complaints. Considering the affordability, what you get is really impressive.
When it comes to sound quality, we felt the Nord Buds 4 Pro is quite clearly tuned for people who enjoy a strong and punchy sound. They come with 12mm dynamic drivers that deliver quite a bass-heavy output. It makes music feel lively, especially while listening to upbeat tracks. The bass has a good thump to it without completely overpowering the rest of the audio.
The buds also support Hi-Res audio along with LHDC 5.0 codec. Moreover, you can use the built-in EQ to adjust the sound profile based on what you prefer if the default tuning doesn’t match your taste.
Another highlight is the spatial audio support. While listening to music or watching videos, we could feel how it creates a wider soundstage and makes the experience feel a bit more immersive. There’s also a dedicated spatial audio mode for gaming that can help with directional sound in supported titles.
Coming to noise cancellation, the earbuds offer up to 55dB active noise cancellation. In real-world usage, this translates to a noticeable reduction in background noise like traffic, chatter, or fan noise. It doesn’t block everything completely, but it does a good job of creating a more focused listening environment.
The real-time ANC optimisation is another useful feature. It automatically adjusts the level of noise cancellation depending on your surroundings, so you don’t have to keep switching modes manually.
As for calls, the six-microphone setup works quite well. They are supported with beamforming technology and an additional inner-ear mic. We used the buds mostly when we were outdoors and they were able to capture your voice clearly while reducing background noise. Wind noise handling is also decent and makes them reliable for outdoor calls.
The Nord Buds 4 Pro come with Bluetooth 6.0 that helps with stable connectivity. Pairing is quick, especially with supported devices. There’s also support for fast pairing with platforms like Android and Windows, which makes switching between devices easier.
Spatial audio is another feature that adds a bit of depth to the listening experience. Whether you’re watching videos or playing games, it gives a more immersive feel. There’s even a dedicated gaming mode to enhance directional audio.
A more interesting addition is the AI-powered features through the HeyMelody app. You can use it for real-time translation on supported devices or even record and translate audio later. It’s not something everyone will use daily, but it’s definitely a unique extra.
We surely think battery life is one of the strong points of the Nord Buds 4 Pro. With ANC turned off, the earbuds can last up to around 13 hours on a single charge. It is quite impressive. With the charging case, the total battery life goes up to about 54 hours, so you don’t really have to worry about charging them frequently.
Charging is also fairly quick. The earbuds take about an hour to fully charge and the case takes around 90 minutes. This makes it convenient for quick top-ups when you’re in a hurry.
OnePlus Nord Buds 4 Pro are a comfortable pair of earbuds with strong battery life that come with useful features like slide controls, spatial audio, and AI tools. The bass-heavy sound and optimum call clarity make them a good choice for casual users who want an engaging audio experience without spending too much time tweaking settings.
Overall, Nord Buds 4 Pro are well-balanced earbuds with an affordable price tag. The ANC isn’t class-leading in every situation and the case lacks water resistance, but for the overall package, they feel like a solid and practical pair of earbuds for daily use.
