OnePlus is soon going to launch its OnePlus 11 5G and OnePlus 11R 5G smartphones. Alongside the smartphones, however, OnePlus is also bringing its first-evers, the OnePlus Keyboard and the OnePlus Pad.
One Plus appears to be focusing on launching not just smartphones, but other technology products as well, and if a new leak is to be believed, OnePlus might soon launch its first – ever foldable smartphones as well.
OnePlus will soon launch conventional (horizontal) folding smartphones and clamshell foldable smartphones to the market according to known tipster .
Tipster claims that on top of the more “standard” smartphones, tablets, and other products, OnePlus is planning on launching foldables as well.
The tipster suggests that the brand might launch horizontal folding and vertical folding smartphones in the near future. This should ideally not come as a surprise to any, considering OPPO has already entered the foldable space with its Find N series of smartphones.
The Tipster posted an image of a couple of trademarks OnePlus has seemingly filed lately.
The image suggests that OnePlus might name its foldable smartphones as the OnePlus V Fold and the OnePlus V Flip.
Sadly, there’s no word as to what the specifications and features of either of these devices would be.
This is probably the first time that the news surrounding OnePlus foldables has popped up ever since OnePlus Joked about one back in 2022.
While there’s no concrete launch timeline available yet, we can certainly expect the OnePlus V Fold and OnePlus V Flip to launch sometime later this year.
China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) shows us two devices, coming in as the OnePlus V Fold and OnePlus V Flip.
The CNIPA listing doesn’t really give us many details, but it does show that the two phones were listed towards the middle of the month with the names OnePlus V Fold and OnePlus V Flip.
The first foldable smartphone by OnePlus could feature similarities to Oppo’s Find N, which was launched back in December 2021.
The OnePlus V Fold could feature a 7.1-inch inner display with a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz.
The device may come with a 5.49-inch outer display with a 60Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.
While the Oppo Find N is equipped with the Snapdragon 888 chipset, the OnePlus foldable phones could be powered with the newest chipset.
Talking about the camera, it could feature a 50MP primary camera, 16MP ultra-wide angle and a 13MP telephoto lens, and a 32MP selfie camera, similar to Oppo Find N.
Coming to the battery, it could pack a 4500mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.
