OnePlus has officially announced that it will host a live global keynote on December 17 to unveil the highly anticipated OnePlus 15R and OnePlus Pad Go 2. The event, which aligns with the brand’s 12th anniversary celebrations, will take place in Bengaluru, India. The brand has also confirmed that it will be attended by thousands of OnePlus Community members.
In a press note, OnePlus confirmed that the OnePlus 15R and OnePlus Pad Go 2 will debut during a live keynote held in Bengaluru on December 17. This marks OnePlus’ return to large-scale physical keynotes with a crowd comprising its community members.
The event will be livestreamed globally, giving fans around the world a chance to tune in.
To commemorate 12 years of OnePlus, company founder Pete Lau shared a letter reflecting on OnePlus’ evolution and its roadmap for the future.
As part of the celebrations, OnePlus has introduced a new browser-based game called OnePlus Run 2.0 featuring its mascot, Una. Players who achieve high scores stand a chance to win the upcoming OnePlus 15R, OnePlus Pad Go 2 and the OnePlus 15. The brand has also launched special “Celebrations Una” collectables, showcasing the mascot in festive Diwali-inspired Kurta Pyjama attire and a Christmas-themed Scottish tartan outfit.

The OnePlus 15R will feature a 1.5K AMOLED display with a fast 165Hz refresh rate, matching the panel on the flagship OnePlus 15. The screen offers 450PPI pixel density and a peak brightness of 1,800 nits with brightness levels ranging from 2 nits to 1,800 nits.
For imaging, the phone will use OnePlus’ proprietary Detailmax Engine for computational photography. It will also include all three key photo technologies from the OnePlus 15, Ultra Clear Mode, Clear Burst and the Clear Night Engine.
The device will run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC. OnePlus claims it will be the first smartphone to launch with this chipset, co-developed and optimised in collaboration with Qualcomm. The phone will also include the new G2 Wi-Fi chip and a dedicated Touch Response Chip.
The OnePlus Pad Go 2 will be positioned as a mid-range tablet featuring a 12.1-inch display with a 2.8K resolution, 284PPI pixel density, peak brightness of 900 nits and 98 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. The screen also supports Dolby Vision and carries TUV Rheinland Smart Care 4.0 certification for eye protection.
On the software side, the tablet will integrate OnePlus’ custom Open Canvas multitasking interface, enabling seamless touch-based navigation, split-screen usage, and easy switching between multiple windows, all tailored for large-screen productivity.
