In a recent interview after the OnePlus 13T’s debut, OnePlus China President Li Jie confirmed that the brand plans to unveil new Ace devices soon. What’s significant to note is that the series will be the first to feature MediaTek’s brand-new Dimensity 9400e chip. Here’s all we know so far.

OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition With Dimensity 9400e

Tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo has shared that the OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition will be the first phone to run on the Dimensity 9400e processor. This new chip is an upgraded version of the Dimensity 9300+, built using TSMC’s 4nm process. It promises big performance gains, even beating the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in some tests.

The Dimensity 9400e uses a full large-core setup, featuring four Cortex-X4 super cores and four Cortex-A720 large cores. In benchmark tests, it managed an impressive 95fps in the Aztec 1440p graphics test.

The Racing Edition will also come packed with OnePlus’s Fengchi gaming kernel, aimed at delivering a top-tier gaming experience. With its powerful performance at a more affordable price, expected to start around 2,000 Yuan (roughly $275). This model will take on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 in the mid-range flagship space.

Specs-wise, previous reports have suggested that the OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition is rumoured to have a 6.77-inch flat OLED LTPS display with an optical fingerprint sensor built into it. It could also feature a dual rear camera system with a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 16-megapixel selfie camera, and a huge 7,000mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging.

OnePlus Ace 5 Supreme Edition With Dimensity 9400+

Meanwhile, the OnePlus Ace 5 Supreme Edition is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chip, which is built on TSMC’s 3nm process, making it MediaTek’s most powerful mobile processor yet. This model is likely to share the same display and battery setup as the Racing Edition.

The Ace 5 series will focus on delivering big batteries, high-refresh-rate displays, and powerful performance, making it a great choice for gamers and those who need serious speed. Since the series is more gaming-focused, it might not offer the very best camera features, although it should still include a flagship-grade main camera sensor.
