The OnePlus 15T is expected to launch in China soon. Although the company has not yet announced an official launch date, new leaks and company confirmations have revealed several key details. Here’s what we know about the upcoming model so far.
According to a recent post by famous tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the OnePlus 15T could feature a display with 1.5K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. The post further claims that it may be the only small-screen flagship featuring an “ultra-high” refresh rate in the segment.
The handset is also expected to utilise this high refresh rate to enable higher frame rates in games. According to the leak, the phone may support gameplay at up to 165 frames per second (fps) in several titles.
The tipster further claims that the OnePlus 15T could deliver 165fps gameplay in competitive titles such as PUBG Mobile, Call of Duty: Mobile, League of Legends: Wild Rift, CrossFire: Legends, New Legend of the Condor Heroes, QQ Speed, Naruto Mobile and Arena Breakout.
Meanwhile, other titles such as Honor of Kings and Valorant Mobile are currently in early testing and could support gameplay at up to 144fps on the device.
Several hardware upgrades for the OnePlus 15T have also been confirmed by Louis Li Jie. The executive described the device as a performance-focused compact flagship, aimed at users who prefer smaller smartphones without compromising on premium features.
According to the official, the smartphone will feature a 6.32-inch flat display, described as a compact screen with a large “gold R angle”. The device will also feature extremely narrow physical bezels on all four sides, which the company says will improve the front-facing design.
Battery capacity is expected to be one of the standout aspects of the device. The OnePlus 15T will reportedly pack a 7,500mAh “glacier battery,” which Li Jie says is larger than the batteries found in some large-screen flagship smartphones. The handset is confirmed to support 100W Super Flash Charging, along with bypass charging capability.
For photography, the phone will feature an upgraded LUMO periscope telephoto camera, and the company claims that the module will maintain a relatively compact camera bump.
The smartphone will also come with a highly durable build, confirmed to carry IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance.
Other confirmed features include 50W wireless charging, a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, and support for a magnetic accessory ecosystem. This ecosystem is expected to include compatible chargers, protective cases and cooling accessories such as external fans.
