OnePlus has introduced a special India-only variant of its latest smartphone, the OnePlus 15R Ace Edition. It was unveiled alongside the global debut of the OnePlus 15R this week. Here’s all you need to know about the model.
OnePlus 15R Ace Edition
In regions outside India, the OnePlus 15R is available in Charcoal Black and Mint Breeze colourways. For the Indian market, OnePlus has added the Ace Edition, which comes in an exclusive Electric Violet colour. This variant features a fibreglass back panel and carries ‘Ace’ branding etched on the rear, setting it apart visually from the global models.
The standard OnePlus 15R was unveiled for international markets with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset and a large 7,400mAh battery. While global buyers get two colour options, India receives a unique Ace Edition with a distinctive purple finish.

OnePlus 15R Ace Edition – Key Specs
The OnePlus 15R is effectively a rebranded version of the OnePlus Ace 6T sold in China. The Chinese model is also offered in the same Electric Violet shade and includes the Ace branding on the back. However, the Ace 6T packs a larger 8,300mAh battery, whereas the Indian OnePlus 15R retains the 7,400mAh unit.
As far as hardware is concerned, the Ace Edition does not differ from the other OnePlus 15R colour variants, apart from slight changes in weight and thickness. The Electric Violet model weighs 213g, compared to 218g or 219g for the other variants, and measures 8.1mm in thickness instead of 8.3mm.
The smartphone runs Android 16-based OxygenOS 16 and features a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate. Camera specifications include a dual rear setup led by a 50MP Sony IMX906 primary sensor, along with a 32MP front-facing camera.
