OnePlus has officially launched its latest flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 15, in China during a brand event. Powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, the new model brings a range of premium upgrades across performance, display, and camera capabilities. Here’s everything you need to know about the new flagship.
The OnePlus 15 starts at CNY 3,999 (approximately ₹50,000) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. The 16GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 512GB configurations are priced at CNY 4,299 (around ₹53,000), CNY 4,599 (around ₹57,000), and CNY 4,899 (around ₹61,000), respectively.
The top-end version, featuring 16GB RAM and 1TB of storage, is priced at CNY 5,399 (roughly ₹67,000).
The phone comes in Absolute Black, Misty Purple, and Sand Dune colour options. Sales will begin in China on October 28 through the official OnePlus online store.
The OnePlus 15 sports a 6.78-inch BOE X3 8T LTPO flat display with a 1.5K resolution, 165Hz refresh rate, and 1,800 nits HBM brightness. The panel supports Display P3 colour gamut, 1-nit minimum brightness, and is enhanced by a dedicated Display P3 chip for accurate colour calibration.
Under the hood, the phone runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC paired with the Adreno 840 GPU (clocked at 1200MHz). It features LPDDR5x RAM, UFS 4.1 storage, and a Wi-Fi G2 chip for improved connectivity.
The camera setup includes a triple 50-megapixel rear system, which includes a Sony IMX906 sensor with OIS, a 50MP Omnivision OV50D ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP Samsung JN5 3.5x OIS telephoto periscope camera. On the front, it houses a 32MP Sony IMX709 selfie camera.
Powering the device is a massive 7,300mAh battery with 120W wired and 50W wireless fast charging support. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, an IR blaster, and a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port.
Other highlights include dual stereo speakers, an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, X-axis linear vibration motor (AAC CSA 0916), LHDC 5.0 audio, and IP68/IP69/IP69K certification for water and dust resistance.
The device measures 8.31mm in thickness and weighs 215 grams, striking a balance between performance and portability.
