The upcoming OnePlus 13R is all set to arrive as one of the most prominent contenders for the title of best mid-range smartphone. However, the smartphone will not be without competition as we know Apple also will be introducing the much-anticipated iPhone SE 4 around the same time.
While both devices will be in the same segment, many tech enthusiasts believe the OnePlus 13R could easily outshine the affordable iPhone.
Expected to launch in January 2025, the OnePlus 13R will be the successor to the OnePlus 12R. Here’s everything we know about this upcoming mid-ranger.
Speculations and rumours about the OnePlus 13R have been going on for some time. The recent leak has come from popular tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo.
DCS on Weibo shared an image of what is believed to be the OnePlus Ace 5. However, multiple reports have suggested the same phone will most likely launch as the OnePlus 13R outside China.
As per the leaked images, the OnePlus 13R is likely to sport a more premium look with a redesigned circular camera island placed in the centre replacing the left-corner setup of its predecessor. It may feature a flat display with curved edges and an aluminium frame.
Apart from the design, previous leaks have already hinted at the expected features of the smartphone. OnePlus 13R is expected to feature a 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
It is rumoured to pack the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.
The phone is also likely to get a major battery life boost with 6000mAh battery support and 100W fast charging, both ensuring minimal downtime.
For photography, the OnePlus 13R most likely sport a triple camera system including a 50MP primary lens, an 8MP ultrawide lens and a 2MP macro camera.
As of now, we have no update on the price of the upcoming OnePlus 13R.
However, the previous-gen OnePlus 12R was launched earlier this year at Rs. 39,999 and with all the rumoured upgrades we can assume that the OnePlus 13R might see a slight price increase. Speculations suggest it could be priced at around Rs. 45,000.
In India, the OnePlus 13R is expected to launch alongside the flagship OnePlus 13 in January 2025.
