Samsung is reportedly getting ready to launch its next major software update One UI 8 sooner than expected. After the rollout of One UI 7 to select devices, new leaks suggest that the One UI 8 beta could arrive as early as next month. This timeline matches up closely with Google’s Android 16 release.

Tipster Tarun Vats on X (formerly Twitter) recently posted suggesting that “Samsung might launch the One UI 8 Beta as early as June.”

If the rumours are true, Samsung may be trying to win back user trust after delays with the previous update. Reports say One UI 8 could launch publicly by August or September.

Leaks also hint that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 might be the first phones to ship with One UI 8. However, Samsung hasn’t confirmed anything yet.

As for what to expect, One UI 8 is likely to focus on performance improvements, smoother animations, and overall UI polish. It’s expected to be a lighter update, making it easier to test and roll out faster.

The bigger update, though, will be One UI 8.5, which is rumoured to launch with the Galaxy S26 series in early 2026. This version may bring deeper AI integration and advanced features tailored for flagship phones.

Meanwhile, Samsung is gearing up to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 in July at the Unpacked 2025 event. The Fold 7 is expected to feature a 200MP main camera, while the Flip 7 could come with a 50MP primary shooter. Both phones are also rumoured to bring better durability and new AI features.
